the ideal GM/player dynamic is when one side says “here are some problems i caused” and the other says “thank you so much! i will make these worse” back and forth forever

There’s a lot of Proper English things they teach in english classes that do nothing but make for boring writers, and the worst by far is saying that it’s bad form to begin a sentence with the word “but.” It’s both grammatically coherent and also a pleasant way to set up a punchy sequence of sentences. Fuck the Académie Française and its Anglo-Saxon wannabes, you can phrase whatever you want however you want until you die
Steve, finally ready to confess to Eddie, invites him to dinner.
Eddie smiles and says, “Sure! You mind if I bring my boyfriend?”
Steve, tight lipped and trying not to cry, “Yeah, the more the merrier.”
Eddie was trying and failing to ask Steve out because he instantly forgot that it was Steve’s party so he calls Steve the morning of and is like “hey you cool if I pick you up at 7?”
And Steve, confused, reminds him “uh bro the dinner is at 8”
and Eddie is like “yea and you said it was cool if I bring my boyfriend right?”
And Steve says “yea do you need me there to pick him up”
and Eddie, flustered, finally explains “Steve…..I’m…you’re…will you be my boyfriend?”
